Platinum Cherry Pie Strain Overview
Platinum Cherry Pie is a flavour-forward hybrid built around the sweet, fruity character that made Cherry Pie genetics so popular. Expect a rich combination of ripe cherry, dark berries, subtle floral notes, earthy spice and a smooth gassy finish, all wrapped into dense, resin-heavy flower with serious bag appeal.
Sweet enough for flavour chasers but potent enough for experienced smokers, Platinum Cherry Pie delivers a balanced experience that can begin upbeat and euphoric before gradually settling into a calmer, more relaxed finish.
Platinum Cherry Pie Genetics & Strain Profile
The exact breeding history of Platinum Cherry Pie varies depending on the source and producer, so its full lineage is best treated with some caution. Its Cherry Pie heritage, however, is closely associated with Granddaddy Purple and Durban Poison genetics, helping explain the strain’s combination of fruity sweetness, cerebral uplift and physical relaxation.
- Type: Hybrid
- Heritage: Cherry Pie-based genetics
- Flavour Profile: Cherry, berry, sweet fruit, floral, earth and gas
- Best Suited For: Afternoon, evening and relaxed social sessions
Appearance, Aroma & Flavour
Platinum Cherry Pie lives up to its name with dense, attractive buds that can develop deep green tones, flashes of purple, bright pistils and a heavy coating of pale crystal trichomes. That frosty finish gives the flower a distinctly “platinum” appearance while hinting at the resin content inside.
Open the bag and the sweeter side comes forward first, with ripe cherries, berries and sugary fruit layered over earthy herbs and delicate floral notes. Breaking apart the buds can release a deeper Kush-like funk with touches of spice and fuel.
The flavour is smooth and dessert-like, blending sweet cherry, berry and subtle floral sweetness on the inhale with earthy spice and a slightly gassy finish on the exhale.
Platinum Cherry Pie Effects & Experience
Platinum Cherry Pie offers the kind of balanced hybrid experience that works well when you want to relax without immediately shutting down. The session may begin with an uplifting, happy or mildly euphoric headspace before gradually developing into a soothing body relaxation.
Commonly chosen to help with:
- Unwinding after a busy day
- Supporting a positive, easygoing mood
- Relaxed social sessions
- Movies, music and gaming
- Evening relaxation
Stronger batches can become noticeably heavier as the effects develop, so newer users may want to start slowly.
Why Platinum Cherry Pie Stands Out
Platinum Cherry Pie hits a sweet spot between dessert-style flavour and classic cannabis funk. The bright cherry and berry notes make it immediately approachable, while the earthy, floral and gassy undertones prevent the profile from becoming overly sweet.
Fans of Cherry Pie, Granddaddy Purple, Wedding Cake, Gelato and other sweet yet potent hybrids should feel right at home with this one.
Final Thoughts on Platinum Cherry Pie
Platinum Cherry Pie is a beautiful, flavour-packed hybrid for anyone who appreciates fruity cannabis with a little extra depth. Sweet cherry and berry flavours meet floral undertones, earthy spice and a smooth touch of gas for a profile that’s both delicious and unmistakably cannabis-forward.
If you’re after something sweet, frosty and potent without committing to an overwhelmingly heavy indica, Platinum Cherry Pie is an easy strain to keep coming back to.

Not a fan of this one. Glad it was only a half quarter.
Not too bad.
Good stuff
Really enjoy this one!
New fav!
Still one of my fave strain
i would have rated this 2 stars if i didnt get it during a sale
this is definitely not AAA+ weed, more like AA; it doesn’t have many trichomes
you’d get better flower in your local dispo for a similar price (pre-sale)
It’s pretty nice, somehow actually tastes like cherry pie. Nothing too special but I think it’s just not my preference, it’s a nice calm, chill high. Doesn’t do much for pain but still good.
