What is RSO?
In 2003, Rick Simpson created a cannabis oil after three suspicious bumps on his arm turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. Simpson had used cannabis to treat medical issues in the past, so he made a cannabis oil to treat his skin cancer topically, applying it to a bandage and covering the cancerous spots.
RSO is an oil made by washing cannabis buds with a solvent, such as pure light naphtha, and then boiling off the solvent leaving behind the oil. RSO is not a branded product. Is it made of indica or sativa strain?
Hi Yulia - the RSO is a combination of strains that are both Indica & Sativa based. However, as it's an extract that goes through a distillate process, the end result is something closer to a hybrid. RSO does not provide an Indica or Sativa leaning effect but instead provides a body high similar to hash. This is one of the reasons it's primarily used for pain management.
